Fig : Saflok 700 Profile Sheet

In May 2013, after two months of production of Saflok700 Roofing sheets, Safintra Roofing India Ltd announced the completion of the roofing project of the Mahindra and Mahindra plant located in Satpur, Nashik. Mahindra & Mahindra (M & M) which was established in 1945 has automotive businesses which have grown in the market over time. The Nashik plant of M & M is the biggest of the Mahindra Plants and is also considered the main hub for Scorpio production. Safintra Roofing India executed the replacement of the old Cement Roofing of the plant with its unique clip lock roofing system.

Saflok 700 uses a special interlocking clip for its Installation. The Saflokclips have been developed internationally over a period of 20 years, following substantial Research and Development and are imported into India under license. The Saflok clip allows the Roofing material to expand and contract with both strength and agility. It also allows a positive Interlocking on all the flutes for easy alignment of material and to ensure a very secure fix onto the roof. The bends on the clips allows Flexibility to the sheet while still providing it sheer strength.

Safintra India used Saflok700, 43/233 Bare Galvalume (0.50mm), an angular interlocking trapezoidal rib profile, for roofing the plant at Nashik. The Saflok700 sheets that were used were roll formed in the Safintra India Factory and were supplied to Nashik as and when required for the construction. A total lengthof 3239 sq. meter of roofing sheets was produced to roof the M&M plant, the maximum length of the roof being 13.5 meter.

Safintra India’s swift approach towards the M&M project allowed it to be completed with ease within two months of initiation.
